Portland Light Athletic

Conceptual Branding, Apparel Design, Web Design, 2021

Portland Light Athletic is a conceptualized professional soccer team for Portland, Maine. PLA was designed to be a team that serves as an example of what soccer in America can and should look like. This project focused on elements such as community engagement, accessibility, and affordable youth development, all things lacking in most American teams. Fan ownership, similar to that in the Bundesliga, would also allow the decisions of the club to be congruent with what the fans want. 

In addition to branding the team, four jerseys were designed, each featuring sponsorship from a local Portland business. A home jersey, an away jersey, a third jersey, and a Pride version. 

To display and outline the systems and goals of the club, a website mockup was made in Figma.
