Sand Paintings

Enamel Paint & Sand, 2022–2024

An experimental series of high-relief paintings. Paint mixed with a particular type of sand creates a cement-like material that is then applied to treated plywood with a trowel. The materials and process create paintings that are heavy and industrial.
